One of the most critical – and confounding! – parts of the home-buying process is understanding your credit. In this module, we’ll tackle the basics of credit, how it works, and how you can make it work for you.

The home-buying journey is an adventure that you can never be too prepared for! Understanding your path from start to finish can help you ensure that are ready for each step.

Does your vision for your dream home align with what you can afford? In this module, we'll explore your wants and needs in a home, and evaluate that against the reality of what is financially within reach.

One of the most important relationships in the home-buying process is the one with your lender  - the financial institution that issues your mortgage loan. Learn what to look for in a lender and learn how the lender thinks about you as a potential borrower.

It's time to start house hunting! Some people consider this the most fun part of the home-buying process, because you get to tour homes and imagine your life in each prospective property. A real estate agent is essential to this part of the process. A good realtor can make or break your experience, so do your research and choose wisely!

You've found your dream home that aligns with your budget - now what? Making an offer on a home can be equal parts exciting and nerve-wracking. It's important to be prepared for what happens at this crucial step. In this module, you will understand the overall offer process, and the components of an offer and counteroffer.

Getting an offer accepted is an exciting milestone! Once your offer is accepted, it's time to open escrow and work toward closing the sale. In this module, you'll learn the basics of what to expect in escrow, leading up to close.

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'RE A HOMEOWNER! Once you've made it through the home-buying process and heard those words, the real homeownership experience begins! Being a homeowner is an awesome privilege and responsibility, with no shortage of work or lessons to learn. In this module, you will reflect on the ongoing responsibility of being a homeowner, and build your awareness of the tasks and additional expenses you should be prepared for once you own a property.
